Ruby Bearbower Rites Held Dec. 21 -
Ruby D. Bearbower, 86, died at the Greeley Care Home in Greeley.
Funeral services were held Tuesday December 21, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach.
The Rev. Marsha Jark-Swain officiated. Marilyn Paulman was the organist. The Trinity Lutheran Church Choir sang "The Old Rugged Cross: and "Amazing Grace". The congregation sang "Joy To the World." Burial was in the Hillside Cemtery in Wolbach. Pallbearers were Tom Hake, Bill Grossart, Francis Kolar, Robert Nealon, Steve Grossart, and Kenneth Inman. McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home in Wolbach was in charge of arrangements.
Ruby D. Bearbower, daughter of William and Josephine (Berney) Grossart, was born June 14, 1913, on a farm in Howard County. She was raised in Wolbach and received her education from the Wolbach Public Schools. She graduated in 1932. After her graduation, she moved to Scottsbluff where she cared for an elderly couple.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Bearbower at Scottsbluff. The couple later moved to California. Mr. Bearbower died March 8, 1979.
In the fall of 1982, Mrs. Bearbower moved back to Wolbach to be closer to her family. She entered the Greeley Care Home on April 4, 1994.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wolbach.
She is survived by a sister, Willa Berney of Wolbach; and a brother, William Grossart, Jr. of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and four sisters, Evelyn Cook, Lillian Wickard, Lila Terry, and Agnes Patrick.
