JOSEPH SCHWARTZ - FOLLOWS HIS AGED SISTER TO THE GRAVE
Thirty-two hours after his sister, Mrs. Frank Kutz, passed away, Joseph Schwartz, aged 79 years, a pioneer farmer, died at his home in town of Meeme, Manitowoc county, at … o’clock Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Kutz died at 8:45 o’clock Wednesday morning. Her brother was ill at the time and a few hours after being told of his sister’s death he passed away. Brother and sister will be buried side by side in the Catholic cemetery in the town of Meeme. The funeral will be held at 9:30 o’clock Saturday morning. Rev. Father Keraten rector of St. Fidelis church, officiating.
Joseph Schwartz was born February 11, 1837, in Germany. His sister was four years younger. He came to this country when only 12 years of age and after living in Milwaukee a short time moved to the town of Meeme where he was since resided and followed the occupation of a farmer. The deceased is survived by seven children. His wife died 16 years ago. Mr. Schwartz resided one-half mile from the home of his sister.
