Clarence F. Schwartz, 29-year-old Meeme farmer, lost his life when his motorcycle collided headon with a car a mile and a half east of School Hill, shortly after noon on Labor Day. He was the last of four motorcycle riders who left School Hill at noon to drive in Spring Valley, near where they reside. (details of accident omitted)
Funeral services for Schwartz will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schwartz of route 1, Newton. Burial will be in the St. Fidelis cemetery. The body is at the home.
He was born on a Meeme farm in 1909. For the past three years he was employed by the County Highway department.
Survivors are the parents, six sisters, Betty Jane, Catherine, Valeria and Mrs. Lorraine Albright, all of Meeme, Mrs. Marie Bogenschuetz of Sheboygan and Mrs. Arline Renzelmann of Milwaukee; four brothers, Bert, Joseph and Gilbert of Meeme and Matthew of Cleveland.
