Mathias (Math) Willmas, 69, Newton, Rt. 1, died this morning at St. Nicholas Hospital, following a heart attack Tuesday afternoon at his home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1886, in the Town of Meeme, the son of the late Antone and Caroline Hook Willmas. On Nov. 23, 1915, he married the former Veronica Bogenschuetz. She died in January, 1953. He engaged in farming from the time
of the wedding until the present.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Caroline) Thompson, Manitowoc; and Mrs. Miller (Bernetta) Worth, Long View, Wash.; one son, Eugene, at home; four brothers, Pius of Sheboygan; Andrew of St. Nazianz; Frank and Nick of Newton, Rt. 1; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Seipel, Newton, Rt. 1; and Mrs. Cyrus Hagen, Evanston, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kellenbenz Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10 a.m. at St. Fidelis Church, Spring Valley. The Rev. John P. Baum will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
