1950 to 1955 FOOD FAIR STORES, INC., Shipping Department. Employed as a truck loader; promoted to Selector, Forklift Operator, and finally Grocery Warehouse Shipping Checker.

1955 to 1956 MIAMI RETAIL GROCERS ASSOCIATION (Now Associated Grocers of Florida, Inc.) Shipping Department. After one month I was transferred to the Accounting Department as Head Cashier, responsible for billing, Accounts Receivable, and bank deposits.

1956 to 1959 UNITED SANITATION - in transportation and customer relations.

1959 to 1970 Rejoined ASSOCIATED GROCERS OF FLORIDA, INC., Shipping Department. In my twelve years of service here, I have been promoted from Warehouse Placement to Grocery and Perishable Receiving Supervisor, to Shift Supervisor, to Director of Warehousing (which included Grocery, Perishable, and Non-foods Warehousing). Bonded to $100,000.

Feb. 1971 to Sept. 1971 NATIONAL WINE AND LIQUOR, Special Assignment: Lay-out, Equipment, and stock branch warehouse in Riviera Beach, Florida. Assignment completed.

My extensive experience in warehousing (sixteen years) has also kept me involved in Transportation. I have always supervised people, as well as formulated policies and procedures.

Ben the "Pride of Associated Grocers", has been with us since May 11, 1959 and a more loyal employee does not exist. Hired as a warehouse supervisor and during thse past ten years he has acted as supervisor of all shifts, warehouse placement, and most recently was promoted to Director of Warehousing. Married to Kittie and they have three children. Hobby is bowling.

Mr. Ben Soto, Director of Warehousing, came to Associated Grocers in 1955 as cashier and placed in charge of warehouse placement in 1959. He has also held positions of receiving supervisor and warehouse supervisor. He was promoted to director of grocery warehousing, a position he held until his most recent appointment to the staff as Director of Warehousing.

The nursing home that Uncle Ben was at when he died was Integrated Health Service (IHS) of Florida, 2939 S. Haverhill Rd., W. Palm Beach, FL 33415. He was in room 112. The phone number was 561-641-3130.
