Katholean, S. Fowler, 94, of Connersville, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Caroleton Manor Nursing Home where she had resided since 2003.
A Fayette County native, she was born December 29, 1916 to Lonnie and Pearl Nicholson Rowe. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had worked in area casket factories as well as Philco. She had enjoyed traveling with her daughter, however the majority of her time was devoted to being with her family.
Katholean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Ada L. and Joe Reeve of Connersville; grandchildren and their spouses: Kathy McFerrin and Joe, Karen Davis and Bill, David Reeve and Gina, all of Connersville, Lori Devers and Dan of Jonesboro, Teresa Brewer and Greg of Centerville, Brenda Hovermale of Upland, Kenna Bobbitt, Tim Fowler, both of Connersville, Tammy Schoenfeld of Richmond; several great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews,.
In addition to her parents, Katholean was preceded in death by her husband, Bivon, who died May 11, 1975; her son: Kenneth Fowler who died in 1981; three brothers: Herbert, Otto and George Rowe; four sisters: Lorean Rowe, Garnet Bergen, Jean Bergen and Marjorie Brockman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Betty Ann Garrett of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery.
