He was son of the late Frank Peter and Gladys Edwards Reid and husband of the late Frances Hester Reid. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gowensville. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a retired Captain with the US Capitol Police Force.
He is survived by a son, William F. Reid; a daughter, Gladys Elizabeth "Beth" Reid-Bradley; best friend, George Hart; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Warren G. Reid, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Petty Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Monday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Harold Thompson.
