DANVILLE- James Edward Bailey, 74, of Danville, died May 2, 2006, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born July 28, 1931, in Glenwood Daniel, W.Va., he was the son of Okey Bailey and Bertha Hendricks Bailey.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service. He owned and operated Baileys Heating and Air. He was a member of Evangel Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Smith Bailey; three sons, James E. Bailey, Robert W. Bailey and Randy L. Bailey; two stepsons, H.B. Gwynn and Tim Gwynn; one stepdaughter, Carolyn G. Hearp; two grandchildren.
Interment will be at Danville Memorial Gardens.
