Called Chloe (Cloey). Said to have married 07 NOV 1870 in Talladega County, Alabama, to Benjamin Franklin PARSONS. Died in Phenix City, which was in Lee County at that time. Died aged 64 years, so evidently born about 1851. Evidently mother of ten children. According to the household of Benj. & Chloe C. PARSONS in Georgia Militia District #921 / Bozeman's District in Muscogee County, Georgia, she had borne 10 children at that time, 5 of whom were still living [sic - 5 sons still single and residing in the parents' household, but also two married daughters living away from the parents, so this figure should be 7]. In 1904, Benjamin was survived by seven children - five sons and two daughters.

Per Alabama Death Index, 1908-1959, & Alabama Deaths & Burials Index, 1881--1974: Mrs. Clany [sic- Cloey] PARSONS died 27 FEB 1915, aged 69 years, in Lee County, Alabama, Volume 21, Roll 1, death certificate #340 / Family History Library film entry #1894120.

"MRS. C. PARSONS: Died at Her Home in Phenix City Saturday. // After a lingering illness from complications, Mrs. Cloey PARSONS, aged 64 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J[ohn] C[hristian] NEWSOME, in west Phenix City, Saturday morning at 10:20 o'clock. The deceased lady was a member of the Missionary Baptist church, and was one of the most highly esteemed ladies of east Alabama. // Mrs. PARSONS is survived by four sons--Messrs. M. J., J. T., W. H. and Walter PARSONS of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. R. G. HORN, of Columbus, and Mrs. J. W. RUSH, of LaGrange, Ga., and two brothers, Messrs. W. J. and T. F. LEDBETTER, both of Columbus, besides a large number of friends who sympahtize with the bereaved relatives in their sorrow. // The funeral will take place fromthe late home this morning at 10 o'clock, the interment to follow in Pine Grove cemetery." (J.) Thomas FARR, of the Congregational church of Columbus. The interment was in Pine Grove cemetery, the pallbearers being Messrs. E. B. PAULETTE, W. B. DAVISON, A. E. SMITH, G. T. WHATLEY, H. H. ELLIOTT and W. T. SAYERS (-OR- T. R. CORLEY, W. B. DAVIDSON, J. T. SMITH, G. T. WHATLEY, H. H. ELLIOTT and W. T. SAYERS)." While the parents married 1841 in Pike County, Georgia, they were in Upson by the 1850 census, and Chloe is reported as C. C. LEDBETTER, aged 9 years, in their 1860 census household at that place.
