GLASGOW — Clifton Lewis Coomer, 68, of Glasgow, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home. He was the son of the late William Chapman Coomer and Mary Francis Ferguson Coomer. Mr. Coomer was a retired employee of the City of Glasgow and was a Baptist by faith.



He is survived by six daughters, Penny Poche` (Stephen) of Walden, NY, Rose Poindexter (Mike) of Glasgow, Loria J. Billingsley (Kelly) of Glasgow, Donna Ferguson (Jason) of Crail Hope, Tresa Williams and special friend Johnathan Lee of Glasgow and Melissa Gulley (Michael) of Glasgow; one son, Clifton A. Coomer (Kristie), of Glasgow; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, George Coomer of Glasgow; two sisters, Katherine Taylor and Brenda Mack, of Glasgow, and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, David Coomer, of Glasgow.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Garmon Coomer; a son-in-law, Dee Williams, two brothers, Roger and Ernest Coomer; and three sisters, Alice Fields, Betty Crowe and Minnie Rose Coomer.



Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be Sunday until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday morning until time for the service.
