Jeffery died in Vietnam while serving with Battery C 4th Battalion 42nd Field Artillery, USARV. He was a Cannon Crew member. He started his tour of duty on 25 June 1969. Jeffery was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Medal and Purple Heart for his service to his country.
