Alyce Burke, 82 a longtime Williston resident, passed away Wednesday evening, November 7, 2012, at the Mercy Medical Center in Williston, ND.

Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Riverview Cemetery next to her husband Howard.

Alyce May Lutz was born February 5, 1930 in Rugby, North Dakota, the daughter of Harold and Isabelle (Johnson) Lutz. She was raised and educated in Rugby, graduating from Rugby High School.

On June 10, 1952 she was united in marriage to Howard Burke. They lived first in Towner, then in various parts of North Dakota before moving to Williston where they raised their three children.

Alyce enjoyed putting puzzles together.

Alyce is survived by her two sons, Donald Ray Burke of MN and Micheal Lyle Burke of OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Isabelle Lutz; her husband, Howard Burke; and a daughter, Kathy Jean Burke.

Alyce had requested that memorials be directed to the charity of ones choice.

The Everson Funeral Home of Williston is caring for the family.

Her memorial service will be held Thursday morning, November 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Everson Funeral Home in Williston. Rev. Gary D. Benson will officiate.

Friends may sign a guest book at the Everson Funeral Home on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
