Lawrence "Larry" Tom Brennan November 19, 1986 – December 7, 2010
Our beloved son, brother, and fiancée died in a tragic motorcycle accident on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Larry turned 24 years old on November 19. Larry is survived by his father, David Brennan; mother and step-father, Lisa Jo and Manuel Hernandez; sister, Lauren Jean Brennan; and fiancée Ali Wood and her daughter Jade. Larry is also survived by his grandmothers, numerous aunts and uncles, many cousins, and a multitude of friends. Larry graduated from South High School in 2005, where he lettered in track for the high jump, worked for his father at Melroy Co., Inc., was a certified welder, and recently enlisted in the Marines. Larry was a Torrance Police Department Explorer and the drummer in the band Slow Child. His other interests included but are not limited to skateboarding, shooting, dirt biking, hiking, rock climbing, body building, and thoroughly enjoyed his street bike. Viewing will be Friday, December 17, 2010 from 5 to 9 pm at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 330 Palos Verdes Blvd., Redondo Beach at 11 am with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, Larry's legacy will be to establish a college fund for Jade. Donations can be made to "Jade Wood" and sent to Wells Fargo Advisors in care of Anthony Ignacio, 3020 Old Ranch Parkway, Suite 190; Seal Beach, CA 90740-2751.
