Oliver Cromwell Tyson was born in Ghent in 1874. He married Bessie Faye Adams in Ghent in 1902 and the first of five children was born in 1903 in Carrollton, KY. They moved to Dayton Kentucky by riverboat in about 1912. Oliver worked as a watchmaker and repairman. He and Bessie divorced in 1922, and neither remarried. Oliver died in a Cincinnati nursing home in 1963, and was buried with his parents in Warsaw.
