Hermoine Davidson Gilmore, a ballerina with the American Ballet Theater of the Metropolitan Opera during the 1930s and 40s, died June 23 following a lengthy illness at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills. She was 82.
Gilmore, who was born in Fargo, N.D., trained for ballet in both the United States and Cuba. The widow of both actor Rufe Davis and Marine Sgt. Robert Gilmore, she is survived by two sons, two daughters, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
