Billy E. Wallace, 76, of Boonville, passed away at University Hospital and Clinics on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. Funeral services for Billy will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel at 1:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Scott Paris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from noon until time of service. Burial will follow in Boonville Memorial Cemetery. Billy Eugene Wallace was born in Rosiclare, IL, May 31, 1936, the son of Grover Wallace and Virgie Scott Wallace. Billy married Etta Agent in Mississippi Nov. 18, 1955. They had moved to Boonville about ten years ago to be closer to family. Billy was an over the road truck driver for many years until his retirement. Billy and Etta enjoyed time together camping and fishing. Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Etta, of the home, his son, Donald Wallace of the home, his daughters, Rhonda Russell of Barnett, MO, Terry Townsend of Cottagehill, IL and Karen Hyde of Granite City, IL. Two brothers and one sister, as well as twelve grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren also survive. Memorials are suggested to American Heart association or the Diabetes Association.
