Elizabeth Horn Gibbs, 92, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Maury Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gibbs was the daughter of the late Ethelred Phillips Horn and Mary Lelia Williams Horn and a longtime resident of Thompson's Station. She taught school for a number of years and was a member of Thompson's Station United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Kennedy Moss Gibbs Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret (Roger) Schlis of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mary (Dan) Loveless of Columbia; a son, Kennedy Moss (Kathy) Gibbs Jr. of New Braunfles, Texas; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m., at Thompson's Station United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin. The family will visit with friends on Friday, Nov. 24, from 4-8 p.m., at Oakes & Nichols and Saturday after 10 a.m. at the church. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to Thompson's Station United Methodist Church.
