An Aged Citizen Gone.
Died Sabbath January 22, 1893, at the residence of his son-in-law, W. T. Young, John B. Kendall aged 87 years and 4 months. The deceased was born near Fauquier Springs, Virginia, September, 29, 1805; came with his parents, to this state in 1811, and settled for a short time in Belmont County, when they removed to Center township this county. In 1852 he went to California, where he stayed until 1868, when he came back to this state, and lived in Washington, this county. A little over five years ago he came to this place and made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Young. He was twice married, his first wife was Sarah McDowell, by whom he had ten children, three of whom are living. She died in 1846. His second wife was Mrs. Sarah Harrison, by whom he had three children, one of whom survives. He was the oldest of fourteen children, only two are living. Funeral services to-morrow at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. W. H. McFarland, D. D. Interment at Center graveyard.
