Icie was born Sept. 5, 1916, at Hemlock, a daughter of the late Peter and Lydia Ann Light Currence.
On April 16, 1924, at Hemlock, she married Van Buren Lanham, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2002.
She is survived by three sons, Doc Lanham and wife, Ronetta, of Ravenna, Ohio, Eugene Lanham and wife, Shirley, of Mill Creek and Donald Lanham and wife, Cindy, of Valley Bend; and four daughters, Virginia Mae Snyder and companion, Dice Harper, Mary Catherine Lanham, Barbara Sue Sutton and husband, Dixie, and Thelma Arlene Haney and husband, Richard, all of Mill Creek. One daughter-in-law, Naomi Lanham of Mill Creek; two brothers, Oren Currence, a resident of Nella's Inc. of Crystal Springs and Jake Currence, a resident of Valentine's Personal Care Home; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and; several great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Wade and Dain Lanham; two daughters, Yvonne Marie Lanham and Wanda Jean Lanham; three brothers, Mack, Dudley and James Edward Currence; and four sisters, Fannie Hodges, Jenny Tenney, Plesia Currence and Janie Pomp.
Icie was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Mission Church at Mill Creek.
