Evans Atwood was born 10 November 1836 in Vermilion county Illinois. He died 12 March 1920 in Williamson county Texas. He was a practicing physician in Springdale, AR. after the Civil War. He and his family moved to Williamson county TX about 1895. He served as the postmaster in Andice, Texas from 1901 to 1907.
