VIOLET L.GREENE, 96. of 2371 Post Rd., Perryville, a retired payroll clerk, died Monday in South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph L. Greene. Born in Mapleville, a daughter of the late Alexander N. and Victoria S. (Landry) Latondress, she had lived in Perryville since 1934. Mrs. Greene was a payroll clerk for Columbia Narrow Fabric for 42 years, retiring in 1970, and later worked at Homemakers of South County Hospital. She was a member of the Perryville Baptist Church, where she had served as treasurer. She leaves a son; a sister, Esther Galmiche of Ely, Vt.; and two grandsons and two great grandsons. The funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Perryville Baptist Church, Moonstone Beach Road. Burial will be in Tucker Family Cemetery.
