EASTON -- Ethel H. Lyons died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 in the Easton Nursing Center. She was 82.

Born in Lynch, Ky. daughter of Frank and Ethel Gotza Horvath, she resided in Flemington most of her life, then spent four years in Bethlehem, Pa. before moving to the nursing center last year.

Mrs. Lyons was a graduate of Flemington High School, class 1935. She was a legal secretary at Western Electric Co. in Princeton until retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Lyons was a member of the Flemington Baptist Church. She performed as a soloist in many churches in Hunterdon County.

She was a member of the Grandview Grange in Flemington.

She spent many years performing operettas at the former Clinton Playhouse.

Mrs. Lyons is survived by a son, a sister, Irene Dissler of Evansville, Ind.; three brothers, Frank Horvath of Hampton, Joseph Horvath of Coudersport, Pa. and Michael Horvath of Venice, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
