Grandma Baldwin, whose maiden name was Ruth Ann Tulley [sic], was born in Mason county, Kentucky in 1821; was married to C. H. Baldwin in 1840, and moved to Knox county, Missouri, the same year and settled upon the farm upon which she resided continuously until her death.

Mrs. Baldwin united with the Christian church some fifty years ago, and remained an earnest and active member thereof to the last. She was ever ready to do her part toward advancing every worthy cause and to aid those needing assistance.
