H.G. "Doc" Gray was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Smithfield. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Glen Garden Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors: His wife of 55 years, Mary St. John Gray of Fort Worth; son and daughter-in-law, J. Michael and Ellen Gray of Santa Teresa, N.M.; daughter and son-in-law, Joni and John Ray of Fort Worth; brother, Tommy Gray of Zapata; sisters, Rose Perry of Oklahoma City and Betty Perry of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Michelle Jorjorian, Jeffrey Gray and Lori Ray; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many golfing buddies.
