David Alan Johnson, age 57, of Cameron, WI died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home.

He was born on October 11, 1955 in Rice Lake, WI to Roger and Beverly (Pickett) Johnson. David graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1973 and then entered the United States Army and served for over 20 years and retired as a Staff Sergeant. He served during the Vietnam Era and Gulf War. He was married to Pamela Murphy on November 5, 1977 in Rice Lake. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed wood working and carpentry work, and traveling.

David Johnson is survived by his wife, Pamela Johnson of Cameron, WI; a son, Jacob Johnson of Fort Riley, KS; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa & Jason Valdez of Iwakuni, Japan and Sarah & Robert Noggler of Cameron, WI; 4 grandchildren, Samuel and Noah Valdez, Klarice and Logan Noggler; his mother, Beverly Prochazka of Marshall, WI; 2 sisters, Wendy Scott of Stafford, VA and Sandra Hansen of Crawfordville, FL; 2 special nephews, Chris and Gerid Dodge and other nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Johnson; stepfather, Gerald Prochazka; a brother, Brad; and a sister, Lucinda Schnoor.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake where Military Rites will accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 AM Saturday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
