William Harve Creek, well known pioneer citizen of Roosevelt County, died suddenly Monday afternoon at the home of his son Roscoe Creek in Portales.
Mr. Creek had not been well for a day or two and had been told to rest. While visiting at his son's home he started to get up from the bed where he had been lying resting, and dropped unconscious to the floor.
Mr. Creek and his family came to Dora in 1906 and homesteaded. Four boys and one daughter were born to his first marriage; Roscoe, John, Mrs. Ruby Morrison, Obannon and Webster.
In 1920, Mr. Creek married Mrs. Martha Deatherage, and two boys, Paul and Leory, were born to them. All his children, his wife, and three step-daughters, Mrs. Lillie Johnson, Juanita and Winnie Deatherage survive.
