Viola was the daughter of James Henry "Hank" Barley and Alice Cecelia May (Perry) Barley. She married Clifford Eugene Wilson in Poughkeepsie, New York on April 4, 1926.
She died after a long illness at the age of 66 years old. She had resided in East Park New York for the last three years of her life. Viola was survived by four sons; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Luilda (Barley) Scribner; one brother, Lloyd H. Barley; one half sister Florence "Flossie" (Wager) Bollin; and several nieces and nephews.
Viola was predeceased by one son, Clifford Eugene, Jr. and one half sister, Catherine "Kate"(Wager) Moore.
