Final Services for Mrs. Jones
Interment for Valdosta Lady Held at Sunset Hill Cemetery Sunday
MANY FRIENDS ATTEND

Mrs. Leila A. Jones, well known Valdosta woman who died Saturday afternoon, was laid to rest in Sunset Hill yesterday afternoon.
Funeral services were held at the Lee Street Baptist church. Rev. A. C. Pyle, pastor of the church officiating. Mr. Pyle spoke of the sterling Christian character of the deceased and paid a high tribute to her in his funeral sermon. He offered the consolation of the
Scriptures to the bereaved loved ones.
Scores of friends of Mrs. Jones attended the last rites to pay a final tribute of love and respect to her remains. Many sent beautiful floral offerings.
A chorus composed of Mrs. Alva Willaford, Mrs. T. J. Whittington, W. L. Jones, Foster Ricketson and Alva Willaford sang "I Love to Tell the Story" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" at the church services.
Following the church services, the funeral procession wound its way to Sunset Hill, where a brief burial service was held.
Officers of the Woodmen Circle were honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were Veran Blackburn, George Williams, Norwood Holcombe, James L. Spivey, Ben Blanton and Eulie Bridges.
There were a number of out of town visitors at the funeral.
