Lambert died at his home at the age of 61. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 35 years as a conductor. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
He was survived by his wife, Lillian Wilson Kent, daughter, Mrs. Raymond Theodore (Ivah) Sandburg and two grandsons. He was also survived by two brothers, John and Howard Kent and one sister, Mrs. Benjamin (Helen) Allen.
