RICHLAND HILLS - Ronald Lee Grogan, 48, a licensed interior designer with Ronald L. Grogan & Associates, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Lucas Sylvania Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday; the family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Boy Scouts of America, the Diabetes Association or Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Grogan was born July 16, 1952, in Fort Worth. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church since the age of 9. He graduated from Richland High School in 1970. He was national vice president of Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity 1993 to 1999. The fraternity is a national professional fraternity for architecture and allied arts. He was a veteran of 40 years in Boy Scouts of America in September 2000. He received the Eagle Scout with silver palms. He was a past member of the Richland Hills Planning and Zoning Committee.

Mr. Grogan had 17 years of experience in space planning, interior design and construction supervision. Since 1978, he had worked extensively with Trammell Crow Co., Paragon Group, Gerald D. Hines Interests and other national developers in the design and supervision of more than 5 million square feet of office, retail, medical office and related construction throughout the United States. Mr. Grogan obtained a degree in architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington. He did graduate work at the University of Houston and was a recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Medal in Architecture. He was associated with Poynter-Scifres Companies in commercial real estate for several years. He also received his master's degree from UTA.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Donald Grogan.

Survivors: Parents of Richland Hills; aunt of Kaufman; and numerous cousins.
