Joyce M. Lintereur, 82, of Marinette, WI passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Bayshore Pines in Marinette. She was born on May 5, 1927, to the late Sylvester and Mary Ann (Hallada) Copeskey in Two Rivers, WI.

Joyce went on to graduate from Washington High School in 1945. After high school she worked at Mirro Aluminum where she met her husband.

She married LeRoy J. Lintereur on September 10, 1949, in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1995.
After his service during World War II they were part of the Badger Village Housing at UW Madison and took part in many reunions. They moved to Marinette in 1960. She was active in her children's lives and was a good teacher to them. Joyce was always a pleasure to interact with; she was in a real sense a Roosevelt democrat; even to the point of writing FDR pleading with him to give her dad a job during the depression.

Throughout her life Joyce donated to many environmental and political organizations and actively discussed local, state and national politics. For many years she was active in the local chapter of Women's' International League for Peace and Freedom. She also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, the Wisconsin State Democratic Party, and was a Past President of the Marinette County Democratic Party.

Joyce is survived by three sons: Daniel Lintereur of Marinette, WI; Gregory Lintereur of Madison, WI and Philip (Lauren Lunde) Lintereur of Titusville, Fla.;
two daughters: Judith (Wendel) Johnson of Marinette, WI and Julie (David) Viste of Green Bay, WI;
12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
a brother, Duane (JoAnn) Copeskey of Two Rivers, Wis.
and two sisters: Shirley Hodas of Manitowoc, Wis. and Mary Lou Pfefferkorn of Frances Creek, Wis.

In addition to her husband, LeRoy, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Donald, and two grandchildren: Sarah and Ira.
