Anthon H. "Tony" Sund 82, died March 6, 1994 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born November 14, 1911 in South Jordan, Utah to Hans H. and Edla Lovisa Tibbling Sund.
He married Helen Larsen Sept. 23, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they enjoyed 57 years of love and companionship.
Survived by his wife; two daughters. Susan (Dan) Harrison, Eureka, Nevada, and Shelley (Dean) Soper; St. Vancouver, Washington. one sister Hilma (Kenneth) Glew, San Francisco, Ca; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Tony was a high priest in the Draper 9th Ward and had served faithfully as an Elder's Quorum secretary and devoted home teacher for many years in the Draper 3rd Ward.
He worked in the poultry business for 25 years. He also worked for the Salt Lake County Roads and Bridges for 10 years. Utah Department of Transportation for 15 years and Sandy City for eight years.
Tony loved music and encouraged his two daughters to achieve in many areas of music. He loved to hear them sing and play and often joined in on his harmonica. He enjoyed gardening and was well known for his beautiful vegetable garden he raised each summer for many years. He will be well remembered for his many quiet acts of kindness and generosity.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and nurses aides from Bonneville Home Health Care for the many hours of patient loving care given Tony during his illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 9, 1994 at 12 noon in the Draper 9th Ward. 400 East 13540 So. Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary. 10600 So. 1700 East, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
