Obituary of Alvin "Andy" Bobinger
(May 31, 1925 - November 19, 2012)

Vancleave, MS ~ Andy Bobinger, age 87 and a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast went Home to His Lord and Savior on November 19, 2012. He was Baptist in faith. Andy was a very happy man with a magnetic personality. He loved his family and friends. He loved dancing, fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing checkers and cards with family and friends. Among many other hobbies, he was good with his hands always having little projects in the making. He retired from working as a salesman in the restaurant and janitorial supply business, calling on many businesses on the Gulf Coast.

Andy also served in WWII aboard the USS LCI (L) & (G) 450 US Navy Amphibious Forces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Celesteen & Alexander Clifton Bobinger; the mother of his four children, Eula Mae Broussard Bobinger; his wife, Betty Lou Kisner Bobinger; his sisters, Vada Adeline Broussard and Ollie Mae Bond and his brothers, Joe Rubin and Marvin L. Bobinger.

Dad will be missed as he makes life's final journey.

Mr. Bobinger is survived by his children, Sandra Kendall, his son-in-law, Johnny Kendall, Roland Bobinger, his daughter-in-law, Susan Bobinger, Lois Gilbert, his son-in-law, Rick Gilbert, and Roy Bobinger; his sister, Velma Bates and his brother-in-law, Percy Lee Bates, Jr.; his grandchildren, Karen, Derrick, Tisa, Jamie, Katrina, Aaron, Carrie and 17 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Juanita and the staff at Benndale Personal Care Home and also Camellia Home Health.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 2:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport, with military honors rendered by the VFW Post 6731 in D'Iberville.
