Lucille A. Weed, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at The Woodlands Alzheimer's Care Residence in Waterville. She was born July 11, 1916, in Dixmont, the daughter of Hanson and Gillian (Edminster) Cookson. Lucille was a homemaker, living most of her life in Winslow and Pittsfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Merton E. Weed; daughter, Jean Weed; son, Eric Weed; brother, Lancel Cookson; and sisters, Novella Rogers and Grace Wyman. She is survived by her son, Hanson Weed and wife, Linda, of Unity; daughter-in-law, Patti Weed, of Montana; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no service. Burial will be at the Pittsfield Cemetery.
