Mary was the owner and operator of Mary's Beauty Shop in South Roxana, Illinois. She worked there as a beautician for 40 years, until her retirement in 2002.
Jesse worked as a laborer with Wood River Labor Local 338 for many years. He was a foreman at Owens-Illinois Glass Company.
At the time of her death at the home of her daughter, Mary was 84 years, 9 months and 18 days old.
She was survived by 1 daughter and 1 son-in-law of Roxana, Illinois; 1 son and 1 daughter-in-law, also of Roxana; 3 grandchildren and their spouses; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Beulah Harrison of Vandalia, Illinois, and Eleanor Foster of Alhambra, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, who passed away in 2004; 1 sister; and 2 brothers.
Visitation was held on 06 Jan 2010 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted there at 10 a.m. the following morning.
