Mr. Herr was dead on arrival Saturday at the Amarillo Emergency Receiving Center after the car he was driving went off Farm Rd 168 about 3:15 p.m., 5 miles north of Umbarger, and overturned.
Born in Hereford, Mr. Herr was a lifelong resident here. He was a carpenter. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church here and an Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict.
