WATERBURY - Robert J. Dinklocker Sr., 48, 1720 E. Main St., and formerly of Kulpmont, died Friday, Jan. 21, at Waterbury Hospital.
Born in Ashland, on Jan. 7, 1952, he was the son of Harry Dinklocker of Waterbury and the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Avellino) Dinklocker.
Mr. Dinklocker resided in Kulpmont at an early age, before becoming a longtime resident of Waterbury.
He graduated from St. Margaret Grammar School and Wilby High School.
He was the former owner of A-I Auto Body in Waterbury and recently worked as a job coach for the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center there.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was buried with full military honors.
Survivors include his father, a son, Robert J. Dinklocker Jr. and daughter, Carrie Dinklocker, both of Waterbury; two brothers Mark Dinklocker of Waterbury and Scott Dinklocker of Naugatuck; a sister, Diane Chasse of Oakville and his fiancee, Rachael Mercier of Waterbury.
