He was born January 25, 1932, in Springfield, IL. He married Doris on June, 5 1955 in Riverton, IL.
He was member of Union Baptist Church for several years. Don served in the Korean War, and worked as a Springfield Lake Policeman and then later as a Springfield Police Detective. He was co-owner of Railsplitter Lincoln Mercury, and later Don Robinson Auto Sales. Donnie had a love for motorcycles; he enjoyed snow skiing, tennis, racquetball, and relaxing on his boat occasionally, although his 'work' was his favorite hobby.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Maydine (Mitchell), brother; Frank and sister; Delores.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 yeas; Doris; 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers; 2 sisters,one uncle, one aunt, several nieces and nephews.
Interment Camp Butler National Cemetery.
