Born Aug. 27, 1867 in Perry Co. he was the son of the late Samuel E. and Catharine Baker.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth J, 5 daughters; Mrs. Raymond Forbes, 455 E. King St; Mrs. Glen Crouse, 345 L.W.W; Mrs. Lester Kauffman; Mrs. Merle Crout and Mrs. George Adams of Langhorne; 3 sons, Hayes, of 402 W Queen St.; Ambrose of 23 S. Federal St.; Coyle of Port Jarvis, N.Y. Brother David, of Chester, 4 sisters: Mrs. Mary Hawk of R.R.; Mrs. Margaret Kramer of L.W.W.; Mrs. Amanda Kramer of R.R. and Mrs. Noah Brechbiel of Middlesburg. Mr. Baker also had 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
