Mr. Giles to Frank and Effie Georgia Thomas Giles. He attended Fannin County schools and then later married Margaret Youree on July 3, 1943 in Bells. He worked as a machinist at Safeway and retired in 1984. Troy also served in the US Army and was a member of Virginia Point UMC.
Survivors included his daughter, Betty Smith and her husband, Jerry of Arlington, TX.; brother, Frank Giles Jr. of Houston; sisters, Catherine Trammell and Ruby McQueary, both of Sherman; and extended family members, Mary Anne and Edwin Grace. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; daughter, Sarah (Elaine) Bachman; and sisters, Jeanette Aldape and Lona Mae Sims.
