Tommye Dean Henderson Jobes, 89 - Obituary
San Antonio - Tommye Dean Jobes, 89 years, of Junction, TX, left this earth on October 17, 2012. She was a resident of Trisun Windcrest, San Antonio, TX, for the past four years.

Tommye Dean Henderson was born December 13, 1922, in Junction, Texas, to Hilry and Annie Henderson. Four sisters preceded her in death, Ella Annis, Louise, Hilda, and Willie.

She was a loving and wonderful friend, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and an upstanding citizen. Her love of the Methodist Church was well known throughout the county. She was a fabulous cook and oversaw the church's dinners and receptions for many years. She was also known for her worldly travel and sense of adventure. She graduated from Junction High School, Valedictorian, and was a pep squad leader. Tommye Dean retired as a bookkeeper from Junction First State Bank. She was a long time resident of Kimble County and a member of Leti Study Club; as well as, active in the American Cancer Society and Meals on Wheels.

Tommye Dean was married to H.D. Jobes, Jr. of Junction who died in 2002. She has two daughters Harryette (aka J.R.) Jobes and Georgia Jobes Cottle and Tom Cottle, San Antonio, TX. Grandchildren are Lee Jones and Ellen, San Antonio, TX, Hillary Perez, Dallas, TX, and Canon Jones and Harvest, Kerrville, TX. Other family members include four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends. A special thank you to Nati Hernandez, her caregiver and companion, of the last five years, and, to J.R. who looked after her daily not only as a devoted daughter but also as a nurse.

Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012
5 PM - 7 PM, at Kimble Funeral Home, Junction, TX. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, 10 AM, at the First United Methodist Church, Junction, TX with Interment immediately following at Junction City Cemetery. Reception for family and friends will be held at the First United Methodist Church thereafter.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, First United Methodist Church, 902 Main St., Junction, TX, 76849, or to charity of choice.

the granddaughter of William and Betty Annis Huff Henderson.
Maternal grandparents were Thomas and Ella Clarinda Thomas Curtis.
