Eleanor G. Abernathy , age 76, of Lynchburg, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Bethesda North Hospital. She was born November 16, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry and Rose Holt. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ, had worked at Murphys Hardware in Lynchburg for more than 20 years, and most recently worked with the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary School. She is survivedby her daughter and son-in-law; two grandsons, both of Lynchburg; six brothers and four sisters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Marshall Crawford Abernathy, Jr. in 1972; and four brothers.
