Broadcast Legend. He started his broadcast career in 1936 with WTIC-AM radio in Hartford and his daily morning broadcasts continued until 1991. Even then, he did a once a month morning broadcast until a month before his death. That totals to 66 cumulative years as broadcaster. In addition, he ran the sport department for WTIC-TV from its inception in 1957 until 1968. He was inducted into the Radio Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1995.
