EVELYN DOLORES SMITH MARSHALL, 82 passed away peacefully on November 23, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 29, 1930 in Dunlap, TN to her parents, Floyd Arnold Smith, Sr. and Norine Maynard Smith.

She later moved to the Mid-South, where she spent her adult life in Memphis and Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James E. "Sonny" Marshall, Jr. in 2001 and her brother Floyd Smith Jr.

She is survived by her loving sons, Barry (Debbie) Marshall and Kevin (Terri) Marshall; granddaughter, Sarah Jessica Marshall (Michael); grandson, Colin James Marshall; great-granddaughter, Sofia Ulua; sister Jo Oakley and brother, Phil (Kim) Smith. She was a great fan of University of Memphis basketball.

The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville and Comfort Keepers for their wonderful care during the last month.

Private internment will be at Memorial Park.
