Bobby A. Ellington, 77, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Bobby was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Handley to Bill and Dessie Ellington. He grew up in the Riverside area of Fort Worth and attended Carter-Riverside High School. Bobby then wed his childhood sweetheart, Barbara, and he spent the next 58 years married to her. He became the father to two wonderful young women, the grandfather to three grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Bobby served his community as an ordained Assembly of God minister for over 53 years. He was a loving, giving and caring minister and pastor. Bobby was loved by all who met and knew him, and always left you with a smile. He will be missed. Survivors: Wife, Barbara Ellington; daughters, Margie Murphy and H.L. Hill, Christy Roper and husband, J.H.; grandchildren, Tamera, Jeffery and Kenzie; and great-grandchild, Colby.
