Ada lived with her father and mother until her marriage in Limestone Co., TX in 1894. It was in Limestone County that their children were born. One of their twin boys, Earl, died there. Ada and her husband, Ira, continued to live near her parents for many years, making the move to Jones County in 1899.
Ira went with the railroad car containing most of the Cornelius and McClure possessions while Ada and her children, her parents, and her unmarried sisters and brother travelled in two covered wagons. Ada's father drove one and her eleven year old brother drove the other. Ada and Ira were in Haskell Co., TX for a brief time in 1900 as they were enumerated in the 1900 census there.
In Jones County, the Corneliuses and McClures settled first near Stamford and later moved to the Boyd Chapel community. It was there that the McClures were to make their permanent home except for a brief period around 1918 when they lived near McCaulley. Ira made his living as a farmer. In 1931, when Ada's father died, the Cornelius farm was split up among the children, and Ada and Ira received their share.
After Ira's death, Ada continued to live on the farm with her son, Ernest, and his family. After Ernest died, Ada and Ernest's widow, Johnny, moved to Hamlin. The two women lived together until Ada's death.
