EUGENE D. WILKINS
Eugene D. Wilkins, 70, 605 High St., Berne, died at 12:08 a.m. today in Luteran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He worked at the Decatur General Electric plant for 35 years prior to retirement. Mr. Wilkins was a member of Grace Bible Church, Berne.
Born in Wells County, he was the son of Samuel and Katherine Barrington-Wilkins, and was married on May 1, 1937 to the former Minnie Behling, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas E., route 1, Berne, and Rick E., Fort Wayne; and three brothers, George, Fort Wayne, and Everett and Jess, both of Owosso, Mich.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, Rev. Keith Megilligan officiating; burial will be in MRE Cemetery. Calling is at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday. Memorials are to the church.
