Charles Kubichka, 40, died Thursday at Calumet Memorial Hospital after suffering fatal injuries in a traffic accident about two hours earlier near Forest Junction.

Mr. Kubichka was born in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, June 23, 1927, a son of Anton and Clara (Oswald) Kubichka. He attended Riverside Grade School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He also took an agricultural short course at the University of Wisconsin and was a graduate of Northwest Medical Institute of Technology at Minneapolis. For the past year he had been employed at the Instant Milk Co., in Chilton, and also was engaged in farming.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2556.

He was married to Rose Mary Laurent on Nov. 20, 1954 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Algoma.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Frederick, Daniel and John, and three daughters, Carol Jean, Donna and Marjorie, all at home; his parents in Whitelaw, Wis.; and three brothers, Rueben of Green Bay, Stanley and Anton Jr., of Manitowoc.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton and in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. The Rev. Thomas Dillenburg, assistant pastor, was the celebrant of the requiem Mass.
Members of World War I Barracks conducted military rites at the cemetery.
