Edgar Munker, 35, New Holstein city, was found mortally wounded from a shotgun blast through his chest about 12:45 this morning by his brother, Walter in the garage at their home. His shotgun was found with him. The victim, his brother and their invalid mother lived together in the Wisconsin avenue home.

Munker had been in poor health for some time, according to Sheriff Cornelius Kosmisky, who investigated the death, and had not worked for the past three or four months.
Kosmosky said that Munker had come home 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, when he was heard by his mother. About a half hour later he left the house and shortly after that Mrs. Munker reported hearing a sound that could have been a shot. An invalid, she was unable to determine what has happened.

Walter arrived at the home at about 12:45 and was sent out to learn what had occurred. He found his brother in the garage and summoned a local doctor and authorities. Mortally wounded, Edgar never regained consciousness and died several minutes after the doctor arrived.
