Herbert A. Nennig, age 69, formerly of 19934 Highway 57, Kiel, Wis., currently a resident of Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Sunday Morning, February 22, 1998, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, where he was a patient the past two days.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 1998, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. Rev. Loren Nys, S.D.S., will officiate.
He was born October 27, 1928, in the Chilton area, son of the late John and Theresa Melchior Nennig. Herbert was a self-employed carpenter. In 1978, he married Monica Dorn. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1993. Herbert was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.
Survivors include his children, Gary (Lori) Nennig, Manitowoc, Cheri (Gary) Diedrich, Kiel, and Richard (Debbie) Nennig, Kiel; seven grandchildren, Theresa, Paul, Kimberly and Craig Diedrich, and Tracy, Nicholas and Melissa Nennig; his step-children; and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Seipel and Eunice Siegwarth; and one brother, Reuben Nennig.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial has been established in Herbert's name.Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, is in charge of arrangements.
